History
Batmatic was founded in 1971 by Ferrante Saj in a small workshop in Ponte Taro (Parma) starting to produce machines for leveling ceramic floors. These machines, called ‘battipiastrelle’, immediately proved to be a novelty in the flooring sector, enjoying immediate success from professional contractors. The numerous requests from customers throughout Italy lead to further product developments, and the small laboratory in Ponte Taro becomes a continuously growing family business.
Batmatic’s entry into the international markets takes place with the participation at the first trade fairs in Milan and Bologna in the 1970s. During these years, the company’s interest gradually shifted towards the compaction of alternative surfaces, such as self-locking, asphalts, and soils.
As a result, a new line of products was entirely designed, compactors or vibrating plates, which will initially support the ‘battipiastrelle’, until they are completely replaced.
Since then, Batmatic decided to focus solely on the development and production of compaction equipment, with the aim of providing a complete range of products with the latest technologies.
Over the years the company was transformed into a limited liability company and, in 1996, to meet the needs of a constantly growing organizational and production structure, the headquarters were moved to a larger and more equipped structure in Bianconese di Fontevivo. (Parma).
For over 50 years, Batmatic has been producing exclusively compaction machines and equipments. This strategy has allowed the company to develop high qualioty vibration technologies over time for the creation of unique products with proven reliability.
In according to its tradition of constant research of innovative and quality products, Batmatic has conquered a dominant role on the Italian market, and has constantly strengthened its position on the foreign markets, exporting over 60% of its products.

Batmatic 50th anniversary
2021: an important year and milestone for Batmatic. Looking back, we can only say that we are satisfied with our first 50 years of constant activity and researches.
Batmatic started to manufacture light compaction equipment in Parma (Italy), in 1971.
Since 50 years the Company has been investing in the success of its Customers, covering a worldwide network together with valued Partners, with a constant research in compaction technologies.
